Shape-Shifting Magnetic Cube with Fold-Out 3D Forms

Start with a cube, open it up, and keep transforming it into completely different forms. This shape-shifting magnetic cube uses connected sections that fold through one another, turning a compact cube into a variety of angular 3D creations without needing a collection of separate building pieces.

Why You’ll Love It

One cube keeps changing shape
Fold and reposition the connected sections to move beyond the original cube and create stars, open geometric structures and other abstract forms. The gallery demonstrates several distinctly different configurations from the same basic design.

Magnets support the transformations
The live description identifies magnetic components that connect as the toy is manipulated, helping the folding sections come together in new arrangements.

No pile of loose building parts
The visible design transforms as a connected handheld object, so the play experience comes from repeatedly folding and reconfiguring the cube rather than assembling a structure from many independent blocks.

The artwork changes with the shape
The gallery shows colourful galaxy, abstract and illustrated surface designs. As the panels move into new configurations, different sections of that artwork become visible, changing the appearance along with the shape.
